2012

"Turn the World Around - Music With a Message" was our spring concert with a diverse program covering themes such as social justice, equality, and world peace. The highlight was a work called "Ballad for Americans" featuring soloist Michael Delos.

Many thanks to Lynn Arnold for recording and editing these videos.

Ballad for Americans (13:04)
Composed by Earl Robinson, Lyrics by John La Touche

The Rights of Woman (1792) (3:04)
Arranged by Chris Vincent, lyrics by "A Lady."

Our annual picnic, held at Golden Gardens, where we enjoyed good food, good company, and a little bit of singing.

We had a great time hosting a sing-in of choral classics at the 2012 Northwest Folklife Festival.

"Gilbert & Sullivan and Lerner & Lowe" was a light, end-of-summer concert featuring music by two of the most popular songwriting teams in the history of music theater. A mixture of Gilbert and Sullivan’s “topsy-turvy” light operas of the 18th century London stage and the more contemporary Broadway and movie productions of Lerner and Lowe.

Our holiday celebration was often reflective but not always serious. From Renaissance motets to Justin Bieber with ukuleles. This concert also featured an appearance by the Rockin’ Recorders, a trio of young women from the Music Center of the Northwest.
